Mr. Sallis has over 14 years of extensive Fortune 100 corporate experience in business strategy, corporate business development, and global business advisory. Most recently, Mr. Sallis served as Chief of Staff for a Fortune 15 company and a $250M global business. In this role, he was responsible for day-to-day oversight of key business decisions for Senior Executives. This experience has afforded him the opportunity to lead large corporate teams and strategic initiatives in global markets such as Chicago, Washington D.C., New York City, and Tokyo. In addition, Mr. Sallis worked on numerous technology and service-oriented start-ups as an entrepreneur and advisor.
Mr. Sallis started The Sports Strategy Group in 2010 with the mission to educate professional athletes in business, entrepreneurship, and the venture due diligence process. Over the past five years, The Sports Strategy Group has worked with more than 30 NFL athletes on business due diligence and venture development.
Mr. Sallis has been invited to several NFL life-after-football workshops hosted by various top sports agencies. While earning an MBA at the University of Texas at Austin Red McCombs School of Business, Mr. Sallis founded the one of a kind McCombs Professional Athlete Entrepreneurship Initiative to facilitate an advanced business education partnership and to provide an elite academic environment where athletes clients can better prepare themselves for success off the field or court in their respective business and entrepreneurial ventures.
Mr. Sallis received his Bachelors of Science in Computer and Electrical Engineering with Honors from Iowa State University in 2002 as a Division I football student athlete. Mr. Sallis later earned his MBA from the University of Texas at Austin Red McCombs School of Business with a concentration in Entrepreneurship.
